PROFESSIONAL POOL & SPA BARRIER COMPLIANCE INSPECTIONS
simple steps to barrier compliance
Step 1
Please ensure your Pool or Spa is registered with your local Council. The registration letter you receive will confirm the year of construction for your pool or spa, the applicable Australian Standard and the Form 23 Certificate of Barrier Compliance lodgement due date.
Step 2
Book an inspection or enquire to have your Pool or Spa barrier inspected to the applicable Australian Standard and a Form 23 - Certificate of Barrier Compliance issued. If the Pool or Spa barrier is deemed non-complaint a re-inspection will be required.
Step 3
If necessary, arrange to have any rectification work completed within 60 days from the first inspection date. You will receive a report detailing the essential work required to rectify any non-compliant issues. We will talk you through any non-compliant matters in order to give you a clear understanding with professional advice on making them compliant and cost-effective.
Step 4
When your Pool/Spa barrier is deemed compliant you are required to lodge the Form 23 - Certificate of Barrier Compliance with the relevant Council within 30 days from the date of issue. This Certificate is valid for 4 years when a new inspection would then be due.
